Golden Valley Fire District (GVFD) firefighters attend to an injured driver of one of the vehicles involved in a two vehicle accident as a Department of Safety officer hooks up a tow strap to pull the wrecked vehicle off of the roadway. GVFD firefighters from Station 11, along with GVFD Duty Officer Captain Arnold, responded to the accident at 8:02 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016, at the intersection of Aztec Road and U.S. Highway 68. Witnesses to the accident stated the elderly male driver of the Nissan four-door car heading north on Aztec Road failed to yield to the Honda four-door car being operated by a woman that was heading in an easterly direction on U.S. Highway 68. According to fire district personnel, the male driver was treated for minor injuries, but refused transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for evaluation and possible medical treatment.
