Golden Valley Fire District (GVFD) firefighters from Station 13, in addition GVFD Duty Officer Captain Arnold, responded at 6:52 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, to the single vehicle rollover accident in the 2900 block of Shinarump Drive. A 21-year-old male driver received moderate injuries when he lost control of his compact Chevrolet car in Golden Valley, skidded off the roadway, flipped over and ended up on its top facing in the opposite direction.
When the GVFD personnel arrived on scene, they observed the driver of the vehicle had already self-extracted himself from the overturned car. Fire district personnel administered first aid to the victim who was then transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Kingman Regional Medical Center for further evaluation and medical treatment.
Although the driver of the vehicle indicated that his vehicle had suffered a blowout tire causing the accident, the investigation is being conducted by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office into the exact cause.
